Speedy Laundry — Mobile App & Admin Portal Design

Why This Mattered A laundry booking app lives or dies on friction — if choosing a machine, scheduling a pickup, or paying takes too many steps, customers just walk to a different laundromat. At the same time, the business running behind it needed just as much clarity: which machines were free, which orders were in transit, and where revenue was actually coming from, all in one place. Two very different audiences, one connected system.


What We Did On the customer side, we designed the full mobile app flow from first open to repeat use — onboarding, account creation and verification, and a dashboard that gets straight to the two things customers actually want: book a machine in the shop, or schedule a pickup and delivery. Each path was designed as its own complete flow: machine selection and time-slot booking for self-service, and address, scheduling, and item selection for pickup & delivery — both converging on the same clear checkout, payment, and confirmation experience, so switching between the two never feels like using two different apps.


On the admin side, we designed a full operations portal: a live dashboard showing bookings, active machines, revenue, and customer activity at a glance; dedicated screens for managing machines and maintenance status, tracking pickup and delivery jobs in transit, and reviewing customer history and retention; plus reporting, push notifications, and settings — giving staff one place to run the entire business instead of piecing it together across spreadsheets and phone calls.


The Result A single, consistent design system carried across both products, so the experience customers get on their phone and the control staff get on their dashboard feel like two views into the same business, not two separate builds. The self-service and pickup & delivery flows were designed to get a customer from “what do you want to get done today” to a confirmed booking in as few steps as possible, while the admin portal gives staff the real-time visibility they need to keep every machine and delivery on schedule.
